ForgeFit - Training & Diet

Changelog

What changed in ForgeFit - Training & Diet with each version.

  1. 0.9.0

The setup assistant builds your training plan

    New

    • The setup assistant asks six things — goal, experience, training days, session length, focus and available equipment — and assembles a complete weekly plan from them: the split, the exercises, sets and reps. You see the plan in a preview before it is created.
    • Compound lifts come first in every session. As a beginner you get the machine or bodyweight variant of them.
    • Exercise library: every exercise in the catalogue, searchable, with its illustration.
    • The illustrations now play the movement instead of only showing start and end.
    • Water widget for your home screen.

    Improved

    • Sessions are named after their focus instead of a letter.
    • Pick four training days and you get four — the remaining days are cleared. Your activities are left untouched.
    • On barbell exercises the bar keeps its length and grip width throughout the movement, and the figure no longer jumps in size when it starts.

    Fixed

    • In the English version, generated session names appeared in German.

    Changed

    • The app now always starts in light mode instead of following the system setting.
  2. 0.8.1

    Corrections to the exercise illustrations

    • The figure looks in the direction it is moving instead of always facing you.
    • The deadlift is shown from a three-quarter angle — from the side, arms and legs covered each other.
    • On the one-arm row the dumbbell travels upwards instead of backwards.
  3. 0.8.0

    Illustrations for every exercise

    New

    • Every exercise has an illustration: a drawn figure shows the start and end position. It appears in the plan view, during a session and on the rest card.
    • After a workout and when you reach your water goal, you get a short note about your streak.

    Improved

    • Reminder times can be set individually per reminder.
    • The guided session scrolls — on small displays the “next” button was not always reachable.
    • The food search cancels the previous request instead of letting it overwrite newer results.
  4. 0.7.0

    Training hands-free

    New

    • The voice command “Explain” reads the exercise description aloud.
    • The explain button also appears in the preview of the next exercise.

    Improved

    • The spoken prompt names the reps for that specific set instead of the range from your plan.
    • Reps and weight entered in the workout area are remembered as the default for next time.
    • The microphone in a hands-free session stays active even when the screen turns off.

Earlier versions (0.1.0–0.6.2) were built before the first Play Store release.
